Brr

I sit in my apartment clothed in three layers, wrapped in a blanket, a hot water bottle in my hands, slippers on my woolen-clad feet, and a mug of hot water steaming beside me.

And I'm still freezing.  Inside.  In October.

My feet are numb.  I can see my breath.  It's really difficult to concentrate on lesson planning.

5 days 'til the heat turns on, 5 days 'til the heat turns on, 5 days 'til the heat turns on....

And good thing, too, since temperatures are supposed to dip below freezing this week.

Welcome to Harbin, folks.  The Ice City.

I hope you enjoyed this disjointed post.  This pretty much details how my brain is currently working.  I need to climb into bed under my many layers, hot water bottles, and super warm blankets.

Good night from the (almost) frozen North.

My pajamas...

Add gloves and a hat, and this is what I've been sleeping in.

Sweet dreams!
